Hello there! I am Darlene Sanchez. A lot of people call me “Dar”.

A few things about me: I am born and raised in California, daughter of Argentine immigrants and I speak Spanish fluently. I married my husband in 2002 and am a proud mother of 2 girls.The extended members of our family include my cat, Pippi, and my dog, affectionately known as Chewbacca or “Chewy,” though he amusingly responds to neither name! Beyond my family life, I dedicate my spare time to volunteering my photography and web design skills with Rising Stars of Equestrian Therapy—a program that holds a special place in my heart.

As a lifestyle and documentary photographer, my primary aim has always been to capture authenticity. While my style leans towards evoking emotions, I try to refrain from prompting artificial smiles. Instead, I prefer genuine expressions to arise naturally from within. I'm not one to employ the cliché "say cheese" approach; for me, true moments transcend mere poses. I firmly believe that the most beautiful moments are often those that unfold organically, untouched by forced staging.
